a 37-bed hospital that provides quality health care in an intimate
and convenient setting. Located in Southern Prince George's County,
Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC, Fort Washington
Medical Center is continually expanding its services and
programs to respond to the needs of a growing community. Our staff
of caring, trained professionals strives to provide the level of
personalized care for which Fort Washington Medical
Center is known. We have a MD200 doctor on staff and all
of our doctors are board certified physicians in various specialty
areas and JACHO accredited.
At Fort Washington Medical Center, we make a
special effort to explain everything to you regarding your
condition and medications. We accept and bill most major
insurances, however, you are responsible for any co-payment or
deductible that will not be paid by your insurance policy. For

History
In the late 1970's, residents of Fort Washington,
Maryland, met to discuss
the idea of constructing a hospital in their community. Their goals
were realized through the opening of the Fort Washington Ambulatory
Care Center in 1983 to provide outpatient care, home health
services, diagnostic laboratory, radiology services, and pharmacy
services. In 1991, the Center became a hospital, providing a
variety of services. Fort Washington Medical
Center maintains its ties with area residents through
community programs, dedicated services, and a responsive
staff. |
